Spinning off a separate thread so everyone is aware ...
The Oxyrhynchus Papyri has gone over at $150. We only have until this Friday to bring the price down.
Looks like $100 is doable!
I am in at $150 but I really hope it drops before Friday noon.
By Friday? Now that is optimistic.
Already down to $ 140 for an awesome textual criticism set of resources, which includes 20 LXX papyri, ...
Keep Smiling [:)]
Getting really close to $130.......
Just so people don't later kick themselves (on or about 12:01pm Pacific time Friday), you may want to take a closer look at the jpgs on the Logos.com site. Some of the NT ones are really interesting, especially Mark. Below is from Matthew if I remember right.
"For the first time, volumes one through fifteen will be available digitally with completely searchable text, exponentially increasing the value of these volumes with their copious notes, translation, and commentary."
..
I moved my bid from $70 to $100. We'll see what happens.
It's now at $130 ... midday, Wednesday.
Looks like #120 is within reach.
[:)]
Let's get it down to $1.00. [:D] [;)] OK, I know that isn't doable, but it's nice to dream.
It's interesting to note that the original $150 bid is now UNDER the production price. Either a fair number of people have lowered their bids or the production price increased slightly?
Peace! I have pulled my bid since it is not likely I will have that many dollars available when it does come due ... Sorry indeed!
How wonderful it would be if Logos could add about two more weeks to this one so we could get the price down to a more reasonable level... !!! Blessings to all! *smile*
Please consider staying in, MIlford. We need as many bids at $130 as possible. You can always cancel later.
Milford ... you never disappoint.
(Hi, Denise!)
Hey everyone! $120 is very, very close. I think we can make it! Consider raising your bid if you are currently in at a lower price. You can always make an adjustment later.
Thanks Mildred!!!!
Is that Milford's alternate name? [;)]
I think it's an easy mistake based on Mildred Milford who was born approx 1919 and lived in Indiana. She's not to be confused with quite a number of Mildreds who died in Milford (true!). I'm not sure why.
Peace to all! *smile* Ho-Hum!
Wow, it is amazing that they named all those cities after you Milford. I didn't realize how influential you were.
What amazes me, Bruce, is that they did that even before I was born! Wow! Talk about being honoured! *smile*
Is there a big difference - do you think - between "distinct" and "extinct"??? eh???
Thanks Mildred!!!! Is that Milford's alternate name?
Is that Milford's alternate name?
I'm feeling very silly at the moment ... [:$]
Sorry Milford.
Thanks Mildred!!!! Is that Milford's alternate name? I'm feeling very silly at the moment ... Sorry Milford.
I'm feeling very silly at the moment ...
]Blessings, Steve! I truly appreciate your eagerness and enthusiasm and energy!
Look how you've (and others also, eh???!!!) influenced the bid on this ...
Down to about $120 USD right now ... and conceivably could even go perhaps for about $100 before the bidding closes in a few hours ...
Just a few more bids, please .............. *smile*
Dear Logos, why don't you please consider giving us another week on this one??? Just out of the "goodness" of your heart?
Just think of all the good will you would generate! *smile*
Glad to be in at $120 considering the $250 pre-pub price.
Thanks Logos!
Yes! Thanks, Logos! Psalm 29:11
