How to update manually

I do not want the auto update feature enabled, but can't find out how to update manually. Any help on how to update manually would be appreciated. I am really struggling with the lack of menu items that I was used to having in Libronix 3. It was easy to find the update link.

There's a box near the top of the screen with the word 'command' written in it. Type "update now" (without the quotes) in there.

Turning internet use to off is quite restrictive if one wishes only to block updates. Set Automatically Download Updates to NO (with Use Internet = Yes). This way you will be informed that a download is available and be able to refuse it. "Update Now" can still be used to prompt for updates
