I made a new Guide Template. However, I'm not sure how to make it the default guide when I use the Go box. Is there a setting to make this happen?

If you name your custom guide to "My Passage Guide" this will be used by default.
(Assuming its a PG otherwise "My xxx Guide")

If you click on the name of the guide in the guide editor you should be able to change it, if I remember correctly
