Easy Way to Delete Your Pre-Pub Orders and Quickly Become Concerned

I'm pretty sure someone else already mentioned this.

When you delete pre-pubs, watch out! I'm used to some sort of confirmation to 'Delete?' (Like 'Are you crazy??').

But the Logos.com delivers the delete with lightning efficiency. So fast that you're not sure you didn't delete too many!!

Goodness! I'll probably find out later some precious prepubs are GONE!

Many of us have to delete pre-pubs due to budget limitations when the "about to process" warning email comes.

I used to use the email re a pre-pub deletion as a reminded to add the title/collection to my wish list for possible future purchase.
But now there is no easy way to keep track of such deletions other than making my own notes and hoping I do not misplace them.
(Cannot add to wishlist while it is still on pre-pub). [:$]

Well, after a drawnout battle to find PPANET, I found another book I liked on OT/Ugarit 'Death'! and decided to give up on the prepub Ugarit grammar. I checked my birth certificate (not running for pres) and made a quick calculation. So the 'delete' wasn't too punitive. Mother Logos' bank account got credited early!

Not long ago I was very happy to get a great CP deal, then, somehow I accidentally deleted it while on prepub. I contacted Logos to see if I could reinstate the prepub at the Community Price. Alas, they would not. I would have to pay the prepub price, and I chose not to do so. I agree what Logos did was fair. I own my mistake.

Moral of the story: be careful not to delete your prepub!

I know Logos can run their ship however they see fit, but I think they pretty much HAVE TO reinstate the confirmation window for a delete. That is so basic a mechanism it is almost unthinkable that it has been totally removed. The previous process of actually going into your orders page and all...that wasn't necessary and I'm sure no one misses that, but to have a single errant click erase an order without warning or recourse is absurd, and not a very customer friendly business practice. I think what happened to Gao is a travesty.

To my understanding they now send you and email to make sure you wanted to delete the prepub and you can reinstate it if you want. At least that's what happened to me when I cancelled a prepub a few months ago. Sorry about your loss though.

After contacting Logos, I was offered the opportunity to re-instate the prepub--at prepub price, not at the CP price as I had intended to purchase it. Actually I may have made a mistake along the way and the fault was not Logos'. I am not sure what did happen technically, and do not intend to put Logos in a bad light. The main thing is, don't inadvertently delete your pre-pub!

I am not complaining, just wish it hadn't happened. I hugely appreciate Logos and recommend it highly to anyone who is a captive audience. Logos has revolutionized my Bible study and for that I am ever grateful.

On a touch screen (my Lenovo and iPod), you really have to keep the stylus or finger at least 3-5 feet away from the screen. I'd really hate to have to argue with Logos that I didn't even TOUCH the delete text (the stylus doesn't have to touch the text).

Actually what happened was I was indeed using the touch screen and you don't get any favors until it's too late. Since there's no clue anything happened (without squinting at the tiny, tiny remaining PPs, I simply touched it again (which happened to be the next pre-pub ... who knows what it was!).

Truthfully, the only pre-pub I WANT is the Classic Hebrew and NA28 apparatus. The rest can accidentally disappear. So, disappear away.

As Denise has pointed out, a deletion can occur and the customer might not even be aware of it...it is that swift and silent. It is quite possible that a customer could be convinced that he or she is going to receive a resource right up until the release date and not have any clue that something is amiss until they don't ever get the download. There SHOULD be a confirmation pop-up. It is common practice and common courtesy.
