Thank you to Logos for the monthly free books and the free book for Pastor Appreciation Month. I appreciate the Logos company's kindness.
Indeed! Many thanks Logos. [:)]
not to be ungrateful or anything... but almost ALL John Piper's books are available free on his website...
John Piper's books
so the free book didn't really "feel like" a free book to many... (i call it "feel good" marketing)

How can it "feel like" anything other than a free book? Did you have to pay for it? Perhaps you meant, "it doesn't feel like a real gift when the books are already free elsewhere." Even still, there is a cost to Logos, and it is a cost you did not incur. For that, I say "thanks." To do otherwise would be... ungrateful. [;)]
hi alabama,
Iike I was saying, I knew people would read my comment to be ungrateful, but that's expected.
I just thought that this Thursday Logos would do a different "move"..
Otherwise, thanks Logos for the free book..
It could have been 50% off the book. [:D]

it was announced from 1st October that this Thursday would be a "free" book not a 50% book.
but when Logos meant free, was different than what I meant free. [:#]

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. Are you saying because it is available free other places that you do not consider it free in this case? Or are you saying that you just wished it was a different book.
Well, I didn't see any of those in Logos 5 format, so it IS a free book; unless you've already gone through the trouble of making them Personal Books. So even though I have those that are "free" in other formats, I still consider this one free because it has saved me the time it takes to convert it to a Personal Book. [;)]

YES [Y]
You forget that it takes $$$ to convert in Logos format. Logos books are always more costly that other ebooks which have no tagging at all
but when Logos meant free, was different than what I meant free
"Free" is "free" unless we are talking about "free" healthcare. [A]
How much freer could the book get?
