Bug: Clause search "person:son of man subject:jesus

When I search for "person:son of man" I get results in Matt 8:20 and when I search for "subject:Jesus" I get results in Matt 8:20. So why don't I get any results when I search for, "person:son of man subject:Jesus"? I'm trying to search for all the passages where Jesus refers to himself as Son of Man. And then I would like to search for Jesus refering to himself as Son of God. But this search doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong?

I searched for "son of man" in Words of Christ in the Gospels in ESV as it is more accurate for what you want.

The Clause search interprets "son of man" quite differently to you and me e.g. it misses many passages in Luke and John where "son of man" is used by Jesus and includes many passages in Matthew and Mark where pronouns like 'you'/'me'/'his' are tagged as "Son of man". The passages in Luke/John are tagged as "Jesus" and those in Matt/Mark are not tagged as "Jesus".

This inconsistency greatly detracts from its usefulness/accuracy.

That's very odd. In Luke 1-9, the tagging is "Son of Man", but in Luke 11-24 it's tagged as "Jesus"! And almost all of John is tagged that way.

My use of "many" obscures that break down in Luke! But I can never use Clause Search without a consistency check e.g. ESV translation alongside SBLGNT.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I must have been using the clause search in a way it isn't deisgned to be used. I knew I could find answers with the Bible search, but I was hoping clause search would be able to do the work of sorting the results for me so I wouldn't have to manually sort who was talking about the Son of Man.

If you use Words of Christ (Red Letter words) in Bibles like NIV, ESV, HCSB then it is Jesus who is talking.
