Lingua Latina Per Se!

I noticed a few days ago that Logos is now offering the wonderful Latina Lingua Per Se books on pre-pub. I've been holding off buying print copies after hearing in a different thread that Logos would be bringing them out.

If you're not familiar with this method, and you're interested in learning Latin, you might do well to look into the philosophy behind it. (An internet search will turn up a good number of discussion groups and forums focussing specifically LLPS (ex: http://www.textkit.com/greek-latin-forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=8427 )

I took part in an intensive Greek summer school this summer, and was struck by the number of Latin teachers who were very enthusiastic about these books.

Here is another video I found on Orberg's life and method. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) it's all in Latin, which means that if you can follow it you probably don't need to buy the books. But I imagine some people will get a kick out of it regardless.

Greg, this looks very interesting. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I don't know much Latin but I am interested in learning. I will have to look at this and think about this more.
