Logos crashes every time I try to open it.0116.Logos Log Files (2).zip
Johan,
Your Library Index is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt. To do this, navigate to C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{Random String}\LibraryIndex and delete the contents of the folder. Then restart Logos. Logos will need to reindex your resources which may take a long time.

Could you give a Mac user a little instruction here? Was looking at Johan's logs when you answered, but I did not see this. Could only find system SQL errors. Which log? What error? Just trying to enhance my ability to help others.
From my reading it is the Library Catalog that is corrupted. Delete catalog.db only at C:\Users\Johan Jansen\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\ocw1wfyb.ckl\LibraryCatalog. Then restart Logos which will take some time to rebuild the database.

I hesitate to think I can teach anyone since I believe Dave made the right call. Here's what I see. First from the LogosIndexerError.log:
References the Library Catalog as the place where the error occured.
This from the Logos.log file:
Note that processor thread 7 is working with the Library Catalog and with the Resource Collection Manager. Then:
The crash occurs just after the above on thread 7. While there is plenty of data I don't understand, the error is a malformed database, and the one it was working on in thread 7 is again listed: Library Catalog.
Not sure where I misread that into Library Index. The only thing I can say in my defense is that Library Index follows Library Catalog in my Logos 4/Data file structure (not much defense). Dave was right. That is how I read it then and do now, but I gave the wrong response.
Thanks for the enlightenment. Now, I know a little better where to look.
Not sure where I misread that into Library Index.
It is not well known that there are indexes other than the well known resource indexes. Specifically, the Library Catalog has an index denoted by LibraryCatalogIndex in the logs (and the BuildIndex function) and it could be confused with the Library Index (resources).
Hi Mark
I did as you recommended, but it still crashes.
If you look just above this post you'll see that Dave Hooton pointed out the correct file to delete. I tripped up with my recommendation. Try locating and deleting that file. Be sure to send along updated log files if that doesn't prove successful.
I tried Dave Hooten's suggestion too, but it didn't help either. I attach the updated log files.
Should I send it to Dave too?

No need. Dave will see it on this forum. However, he lives in Melbourne—not Florida—when it is now early Monday morning.

Dave will see your logs here.
The errors are the same as last time and our suggestions didn't help. We'll need Logos Support's help. One of the Techs may see this but I'd suggest you email tech@logos.com and link them back to this thread.
I attach the updated log files.
Johan, did you seek help from Logos? Is this issue resolved?
Thanks for following up, Dave.
The issue is not resolved yet. I sent a mail to Logos at tech@logos.com, but am still waiting for help.
