Items missing in saved layouts

I am unable to find selections I saved in layouts before closing L4. When I work with multiple topics or bible verses in the same resource panel the back and forward arrows appear. However after I save the layout with the multiple topics/verses within a particular resource, the arrows are gone when I reopen the layout...and so are the multiple selections.

The resources I tried to save multiple selections in were Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary, Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible and the KJV Interlinear. I saved it three times but was never able to retain the multiple entries. Any suggestions?

Abraham,

It sounds like you may be talking about the history arrows () I believe they only appear when there is an active history. When you simply load a workspace, it only opens up the resources to their locations when the workspace was saved.

Workspaces do not load history and thus those arrows will be inactive.

Took so long to respond because I had to step out for a while. The history arrows are exactly what I was referring to, just did not know what to call them.

The bottom line is whenever I work witrh multiple topics/verses in a single resource I would like to be able to save each of them so I did not have to have multiple instances of a single resourece open for each topic/verse. For example I would like to save the KJV Interlinear so I can reopen it with the historical links saved and accessable to say, Ex 3:5, 15:11, 19:5,6 & Lev 19:2. Or to have historical links reopen for Holiness, Love & Righteousness in Bakers Encyclopedia of the Bible and The Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary.

So what I am attempting to do is to save everything that I have open, even multiple (historical) entries within a single resource. That would eliminate me having to reenter each of the entries in each of the resources everytime I had to close the saved layout. We share one computer in my home so I don't always have the luxury of leaving a saved layout open until I am finished. I hope that is clearer than my earlier explanation.

It sounds to be as though you need to use the favorites facility, rather than relying on history, which as you have noticed, isn't saved between sessions. Just open the favorites panel, create a folder, then drag in the tabs of the resources when they're open to the place you want remembered.

You can also use Bookmarks to save locations that you want to come back to. You access those from the Favorites panel as well. (Open Tools | Favorites).

Make a selection in a resource, and then click on Set for Bookmark 1.
Make another selection elsewhere in that (or another) resource and click on Bookmark 2, etc.
When you want to go back to those places, just click the bookmark that you've set. That will reopen the resource if necessary and go to the saved location.
To clear a bookmark, right-click on it and select Clear.
All your bookmarks are saved when you close Logos, regardless of whether your Favorites panel was open when you closed Logos.
Whenever you open the Favorites panel back up (including if it is restored when you open a saved layout), you'll see all your bookmarks there.
