Backup L5 Library to USB Drive for MAC

I'm about to do a fresh install of OSX Mavericks. I wanted to know if there was a way to save my L5 library to a USB drive so that I wouldn't have to download from the web. My library is over 16gbs and it takes forever to download then to index.

Try Carbon Copy and copy the entire directory to a backup device OR try Time Machine. I believe both will work.
