Hide notification bar on Android app?

Not sure if this is a bug or just hasn't been implemented yet (or is meant to be this way) but it would be much better if the notification bar is not shown in reading view as it's distracting and takes up screen real estate.

Thanks
Richard

Richard, it sounds like you're running a beta version of the Bible app. Please post your feedback in the beta forum, which you can find here: http://community.logos.com/forums/110.aspx  Also, if you're running 4.0.3, please upgrade to 4.0.4.

To answer your question, yes, in the latest beta versions of the apps we now intentionally show the status bar while reading. There are several bugs with Android's full screen option (removing the status bar), particularly with regards to the keyboard covering up text input fields. The behavior varies across each different version of Android and almost never did exactly what we needed it to do. I'm guessing you're running the 4.0.3 beta...in the latest beta version (4.0.4) we turned on "low profile mode" in the reading view, which dims the status bar and software buttons (Home, Back, etc) while reading, which should help make the status bar less distracting while reading.
