When i try to launch the program, it says signing in, and then the program just disappears. The icon in my dock just leaves and the program never opens. I had version 4 installed but I unistalled it before the installation of beta.

Welcome to the forums. Sorry you are having troubles... and in beta non the less!
What do you mean that the icon "leaves"? Does it disappear? What OS are you running? If you just mean that you are getting a crash, please enable and post logs. See my signature line for help.
Here are the log files. I am using OS X Mavericks. I tried it on my other macbook and it seems to be working fine. The other macbook has never had logos installed before.

Try deleting the catalog.db file and restart Logos. The application will then create a new catalog.
Just in case, I will add that the Library folder is hidden by default. Best way to find it is to use the Go menu in the Finder. When you depress the Option key, the Library folder appears in the list and can be opened from there.
