I think that will happen with the release of Logos 6.
I'd think PBs on mobiles would be a big selling factor. So Tes might be right. Interesting what might be possible if Pastors used PBs distributed to mobiles along with the follow-along sermons already.
The ability to carry your PB with you would be a big seller. But Logos would have to do some redesigning of the mobile app. Presently everyone gets the mobile app, even it they have never bought a book from Logos. To limit it to those who have bought a base package when 6.0 is released, would go contrary to their operating philosophy.
You mean, 2 or 3 years from now? LOL
DAL
Ps. I hope is sooner, I'd really love to read my own work in my iPad.

It seems to me that Logos might have planned to use the occasion for attracting more customers to buy Logos 6 .Besides we have to be aware that Logos has a different strategy than ours.

Its worth noting that there is not necessarily a link between any upgrade to the desktop software (Logos x) and upgrades to the mobile platforms. We saw this with the release of Logos 5 not being synched to a release of the mobile apps.
What we do know is support for personal books on mobile devices requires some additional infrastructure and synchronisation capability. And, yes, this will presumably also allow personal books to be fully synchronised between Logos x environments as well.
So as far as I can see there are three / four things which need to be done:
In July Bob said they were actively working on it - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/72400/504603.aspx#504603 - and we need to wait until its done!

I think that is pretty much a given, isn't it? There is no alternative but waiting until it is done. No alternative except buying a tablet that can run Logos 5. After waiting so long, I think my original conclusion about when we will have Personal Books on a tablet is the correct one. <\P>
I'm really looking forward to the day when I can read my PBs on Logos' iOS app. Until then it feels like my PBs are second class resources since the only way I can read them is on my MBA. I'd love the ability to read them on my iPad, highlight and make notes on them.
I know it's not an easy feature to give us, but Logos has already had considerable time to implement this feature. Let's hope we don't have to wait too much longer! [:)]
Hi Tes
I wanted to acknowledge your question but I don't really think I can answer it effectively - and I will admit I don't see how helpful such an answer would be.
You and I may have different views about what has been promised and others would have different perspectives as well.
To take one possible example, sometimes delivery dates for resources slip - whether that is seen as a promise not being fulfilled depends on how one sees those delivery dates (firm commitments or best indications as to when things will be available)
In this particular case I don't believe Logos have ever given a timescale so it would be unreasonable to say they haven't delivered against such a promise.
Graham
I agree. Whilst I share the frustration of many that we don't have this valuable feature yet, I haven't seen on the forums any Logos employee refer to more specific timeframes. The best I've seen are statements to the effect, "We're working on it..."
I hope they deliver on this feature more quickly that the Hebrew pronunciation feature. [:O]
OK. I'll byte .... per Lynden, you have to have a Logos package in order to get mobile access? Or did I read incorrectly.
I don't know since my OL package seems to have disappeared into the wasteland of time.
Hi Denise
no, you don't need a base package for mobile access (I think you did a long time ago).
i think Lynden's point was that tying PB support on mobile to a base package would break that model (but I could be wrong!)
Thanks, Graham!

Tomorrow morning is coming soon ......... sooner for you, methinks! *smile* May God Bless you and your family and your ministry on what will be very soon ... "The Lord's Day," eh???
Thanks Milford
Appreciated, Graham

Sorry if I misled you Denise. Someone suggested that you may need a base package to get the sycn feature for PB's to work. As I said, so far that is contrary to what Logos does now, and to limit the sycning of PB's from desktop to mobile, based on someone having a base package, will probably involve more work, and thus be more expensive.
Thanks Lynden ... both you and Graham were gracious enough to not point out my inability to just 'read'!
You mean I am not the only one with that problem? [:)]
