Suggestion: Logos Should Extend the Early Church Fathers ...!

I have been aware that the 37 volumes of the Ante-Nicene; Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers is not the last word on the works of the Church Fathers ... some texts were omitted for space reasons, and, I believe, more manuscripts are now available.

Recently I discovered this great web-site which collects together the material missing from the 37 volumes. See http://www.earlychristianwritings.com/fathers/index.html.

Wouldn't it be good if Logos integrated this material into the existing 37 volumes ... making a truly great product ... one that was much better than anything available in print. Perhaps a Pre-Pub upgrade offer could be made to guage interest, although the popularity of the Church Father's products seems to guarantee that it will be a sure winner.

Philip Scaff did a monumental work on these. His constraint was time [O] He knew he would not live long enough to get it all done so he tried to translate what he thought were the best parts. I would love to have somebody expand this resource. Any qualified takers? Does Logos want to tag these?

Mark's reference to the Pre-Pub in original languages shows Logos is aware of this and gauging the demand for it. But if you are fairly inept with the original Greek and Latin you might give serious consideration to the Pre-Pub MJ is referencing. Aquinas has already done the job of summation on the Gospels at least.

The only Pre-Pub I've found is the 18 volumes of the Fathers in the original languages. Other replies seem to suggest that you are referring to another Pre-Pub, but searching on "Fathers" and "Catena" and "Aurea" and "Anthology" on the Pre-Pub page did not bring it to light.

Okay, I've found it now, on the Community Pricing page. Also put in my bid, and done my part for making it appear.

It still appears to me that these public-domain (well, out of copy-right) translations of many of the Fathers not in Schaff''s original 37 volumes, would be easy to bring into Libronix format, and would be popular, given their similarity (in language, format, etc) to the 37 volumes.
