I'm running Logos 4 and getting ready to upgrade to OS X 10.9. Is this supported?
Why would you want to? The only people who should be using L4 are those whose system requirements prevent them from upgrading to the free L5 engine. See my signature line for the link.
Thanks. I thought I had to purchase Logos 5 to upgrade.
If you wanted some of the new features available in Logos 5 you would need to purchase those but, as Alabama pointed out, the core engine is free.
For interest - the information at http://wiki.logos.com/Upgrade_or_Crossgrade outlines some of the "payable" options.
Thanks. Great reference . . . not sure why I couldn't find this before.
Graham and Alabama have both implied it, but let me ask directly: does the Logos 5 core engine run on Mavericks? According to this well-respected index site: (http://roaringapps.com/apps?index=l) it doesn't.
I upgraded to Mavericks and have no problems running Logos 5. It runs just the same as it did under Mountain Lion.
Welcome to the forums Matt! [:)]
I don't know how "well-respected" the site actually is... At the very least, it is prone to misinformation. See this thread:

Shall I assume you are still using L4? The funny thing about the roaring apps site is that it doesn't seem to distinguish different versions of Logos. At least, I couldn't find any reference to them. In any case, L5 works fine in OSX 10.9. [:)]
Well curiosity got the better of me and I just downloaded the latest version of 4 and tried to use it only to get the infer that my library is not compatible with versions lower than 5.1b-SR3 or later. So I can not confirm or deny the compatibility of version 4, other than it starts launching and goes as far as to tell me I need the above version or higher to continue on.

Flavours (currently in beta for mavericks compatibility ) and Timbuktu were the only apps i use regularly that I had any issues with and other than having difficulty locating the new Timbuktu version (thankfully wikipedia had a link to it).
Thanks, Alabama!
