New BAR Archive not available in Logos?

I know that the availability of issues of Biblical Archaeology Review has been discussed, but I just received an email from the Biblical Archaeology Society that there is a new BAR Archive DVD 1975-2012 available. I assume this is not available in Logos, and that really stinks! There is no way that I would re-purchase this set after already purchasing most of it for Logos. If they can't make it available to Logos, and just can't justify it.

I too and very disappointed. It is unlikely that I will purchase the new BAR Archive. I just cannot justify spending $200 when I already have the journal through 2005.

I don't know the cost that would be involved to put BAR in Logos format, but I am willing to bet that the Biblical Archaeology Society would more than make that up in sales.

I have repeatedly advocated for BAR to be updated on Logos with both companies. I think the decision to no longer put BAR on the Logos platform was made some time ago. I am sad about this and still hope that at least a trial pre-pub to cover the appropriate costs would be introduced. I kind of doubt this will happen because I speculate that BAR has invested in the current format and would not want to introduce a competitor to this product.

BAR is such an invaluable addition to be integrated into Logos and the other Mac Bible software product. It is indeed a sad loss.
