MAC OS X Mavericks - Logos Not Responding

Has anyone else experienced significant problems with Logos 5 after installing OS X Mavericks? It seems to repeatedly crash or won't even start for some reason. Once it does run, functionality seems okay but then it will freeze requiring "force quit." Any thoughts? Both the OS and Logos are as current as possible.

Hi Dale - and welcome to the forums

There were a few reports about Logos performing more slowly after the Mavericks upgrade but that was addressed in the recent service update from Logos.

There are a number if people reporting issues but it is unclear - at least to me - whether they are Mavericks related and there a number of people who are saying that it is working fine.

to try and understand the issues you are seeing please enable logging and post logs after a crash as per https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem

Since my upgrading to Mavericks I believe I have had one or two unexpected quits (both before the update) and I have had one time closing logos where I needed to force quit, all in all I have had no major problems with Logos under 10.9. Have you made sure to run Disk utility and repair permissions? I know that occasionally disk problems or bad permissions can cause issues...

Since upgrading to Mavericks on both my iMac and MBA I have seen no discernible difference in the stability/speed of Logos 5, either before or after the latest L5 update.

I find that Logos have addressed several Mac app-closing issues in the last couple of updates.

Please create a new thread and explain your issue clearly. Provide all necessary information, including OS & Logos version. If you are getting a crash, please enable logging, allow the app to crash, and upload the logs. See my signature line.
