I am curious if Logos sells any resources dealing with Q texts. I have searched the site, but haven't found anything. I'm hoping something is buried somewhere.
Hi Donovan,
You may try searching on the word "synoptic" from the Logos website. I think there are a few resources that may be of interest.
Donovan,
I am aware of the following:
Also, if you have IVP's Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels, Robert Stein's article "Synoptic Problem" is an excellent introduction.
{EDIT}
If you find more, please post them.
{/EDIT}
There is of course the Hermeneia commentary on the critical edition of Q which comes broken into several resources.
Ok, thanks for these. I was particularly interested in "Jesus, Mark and Q" by Michael Labahn and Andreas Schmidt, eds. I also suspected that Hermenia had something on it. Is anyone familiar with "Q Parallels" by John Kloppenborg?
Mark, when I click on that link, my screen flashes a bit but nothing opens in Logos. In fact, I seem to recall I've never been able to get clicking on libronixdls links from the Forum to open Logos up to the resource in question. Do I need to turn on "send hyperlinks here" for that pane or something? What if I don't know what resource the person is linking to?
Just testing here with a resource I know I own (I created the URL myself using "Copy location as URL"). Nope, it doesn't work for me either. How do I do this? Incidentally, the URL in my link looks different from yours.
Here's yours -- libronixdls:jump|res=LLS:HRMNEIAQHere's mine -- libronixdls:jump|pos=LLS-AOL:0<TITLEPAGE>.0.0|res=LLS:14.0.4
I suppose I could edit out the "pos=LLS-AOL:0<TITLEPAGE>.0.0|" part since that's not strictly necessary; it's at the top of the resource in question. But why is my res=LLS: in numeric form and yours is in alphabetic form?
Rosie,
Have you tried this: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/6539/51378.aspx#51378
Kloppenberg's work is an attempt to produce a synopsis based on Q.
The book edited by Labahn and Schmidt contains two specialized studies on Q. The rest of the book is more focused on historical Jesus issues.
In a chapter entitled "Mark's Use of Q: The Beelzebul Controversy and the Cross Saying", Fleddermann argues for Mark's literary dependence upon Q as an actual written source.
In a chapter entitled "The Son of Man as the Representative of God's Kingdom: On the Interpretation of Jesus in Mark and Q", Schröter is attempting to delineate differences between Mark and Q regarding their use of the title "Son of Man".
It is available here: http://books.google.com/books?id=L-jHHX6fGLoC&dq=labahn+schmidt+jesus+mark+q&printsec=frontcover&source=bl&ots=NaxYe7D1rV&sig=X8v-rfD_TuUqFxFRMzr0EZhMKCU&hl=en&ei=JtwwS43cFZPGlAeg99SYBw&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CAwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=&f=false
I failed to mention earlier the other helpful article in IVP DJG entitled "Q" by Graham Stanton.
Of course, the corresponding articles ("Synoptic Problem" and "Q") in the Anchor Bible Dictionary by C. M. Tuckett are helpful also.

Yes, I have, and libronixdls links from the Forum still don't work. In fact I'd already posted something to that effect at the end of that thread. I can't think of what else to try.
EDIT: I also tried simply pasting the libronixdls URL (generated by Logos itself -- Copy location as URL) into my browser's address bar and pressing Enter, and I got the same result.[:(]
