Bug: Duplicate Devices

Whilst trying to work out why resources were not downloading (here) I found that my single iPod (called iGreen) had registered three different times, as three different devices, under Logos.

I am not sure if there are any further logs that I can add to help development ...

I am looking for a quick fix (my wife wants here Logos back!) ... so at some point today or tomorrow I will try selecting resources for the latest incarnation, based on the original incarnation (the one with vyrso) and then try removing the errant devices from my profile (it might work Big Smile )

Hi Martin - I have the same problem. Duplicate iPad and duplicate iPhone. Not sure why ti's doing that (maybe connected to iOS 7 update?).

If you go to https://www.logos.com/account/devices on Logos' web site under your account, do you see duplicates there? It allows you to remove entries there...

Hi Don,

When I go to that link I do indeed see all 4 devices listed (2 duplicates). There is an option shown to remove them but I've been hesitant to do that in case I mess something up with the syncing. (Which seems to happen more often than not for me for some reason).

Any braver folks out there? [:D]

I believe the duplicates occur when things happen like significant iOS updates. I have deleted the extra devices with no problems... But you need to figure out which is the new one to keep. One way to figure this out is to add an app which you didn't have installed already. You might need to rename the devices beforehand. If you aren't good with puzzles, give a screenshot and I'll walk you through it.

As usual alabama24 your advice was spot on. Did a test, figured out which ones needed to go and deleted them with no problems.
