Trouble with clean install on Mavericks

I did a clean install of Mavericks a few days ago. Loaded most of my apps fine but I'm having trouble with Logos. I did a clean Mavericks install during seed testing and was able to load Logos at that time (though I think I had backed up my Application Support/Logos4 folder; this time, a completely clean install).
The Logos 5 app installs (just tried a fresh install of 5.1b sr3) but none of my resources are downloading. Looking at the logs, it appears to have found everything I need but it's failing to download them. I've got the app open, no resources in my library, I told it to Update now and it's got the "Checking for updates..." window open but nothing is being found. I'll keep it up and see if that changes, but I'm not seeing any further activity.
Logs attached.

Chris - I know that you know much more about logs than I do, so I won't even bother looking. [:P]
I also did a clean install of Mavericks. Actually, I also upgraded my HDD to an SSD at the same time. I had some troubles with the installation process as well. To save time, I used the scan command to access the resources from a TM backup. Is that an option?

What I may do is bring my Logos4 folder from home and pull from that one, but this is my office computer and I didn't bother to keep a backup since it has a much faster connection so I had just planned to redownload and reindex Logos.

That is the best course of action. But restart your Mac before you scan the folder (and restart Logos after issuing the scan command).

Well... the *best* course of action is a fix for whatever problem is causing this.

Logos devs, any word on this? It's still not working.

Logos is having trouble attempting to reach our resource download server. I am not aware of anyone else reporting this problem, so it's possibly due to a local firewall blocking Logos' access.
What do you see if you paste this URL into your web browser?
Do you get any security certificate warnings? Does it work in Chrome, Safari, Firefox (or whatever browsers you have installed on your system)?

OK, so that's the expected output. (And it loaded; it didn't time out.)
Please run "update resources" and post the log files, so we can see if Logos is still logging "timeout" errors even though you can load the page in your browser.

I'll check it when I'm back at the office tomorrow. May go ahead and try another clean Logos install. If it doesn't work, I've copied my files from home to load manually.

I have exactly the same problem. Running Logos 5, Clean Install, Mavericks. I typed "update resources" into the command window and nothing happened at all.

Welcome to the forums! Sorry you are having troubles.
Please create a new thread. Make sure to explain the issue clearly. Also, enable and post logs. See my signature line for help.

Isn't it more advisable to discuss the same issue in the same thread?
Yes, only if it is the same issue. It's not uncommon for similar symptoms to have different underlying causes.
If it turns out to be the same problem, I'll post a message redirecting the conversation back here. But if it turns out to be a different issue (which is quite likely), carrying on two separate conversations in this thread is difficult.

In most cases a brand new thread is preferable (IMO). Here is my thought:
- Most of the time, we don't know if it is the "same problem."
- Each forum member has his or her own level of tech ability and needs
- When several conversations happen at once, a user's question might be overlooked. This happens regularly.
- The OP deserves personalized attention.
How would you like to be in a doctors office, just diagnosed with something, and have someone barge in and say "I'VE GOT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!!!!" and then proceed to dominate the conversation? Obviously not quite the same, but you get the idea. [;)]
By the way, the beta forum is a little different in my opinion. Threads there will more naturally migrate to "meta" conversations.

Still getting errors. I tried the link you posted and saw the same thing as before, so I'm able to reach it via browser, but the logs are still throwing errors while trying to retrieve data.
I have my resources from home but am thinking I may hold off until this problem is figured out; I assume whatever this glitch is, it's affecting more than just my ability to download resources but is blocking sync period.
As mentioned earlier, this problem only surfaced after a clean Mavericks install with a clean Logos install. Logos was working fine in Mountain Lion and, if I recall correctly, was working from the Mavericks seed (aside from glitches that have since been fixed). I'm also running Proclaim and it's able to sync without issue.

I still don't have Logos on my office PC. Still getting errors. Any update or suggestions?

In addition to the other person who has reported the same problem in this thread, it's also been mentioned at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/77208.aspx so I'm apparently not the only one.

Dear Chris and others,
I posted a "Work-Around/Solution" in this thread - http://community.logos.com/forums/p/77208/540732.aspx#540732

Logos? Anything? No update on this since last week, still no Logos on my office computer... I could try the workaround but that would require prepping an external hard drive since I have nothing else big enough to hold the library, I'd rather just see it working.

Try this Chris, move the Logos4 folder from its current location… then use work-around with the modification; the location of the move folder as the back up.

If you you don't have the room delete a number of the reference... leave a number of resources to use them as a place holder... then use work-around-----problem you will have is that Logos will have to re-download all the missing resources. With 1.5 speed will take some time... but with 50 speed it will not take very long to replace resources...

Would still like to see an update from Logos, over a week with no word is quirky. But I took the time to get out my external hard drive and copy my Logos folder over so I'm up and running again. It is certainly peculiar that the app has no trouble connecting with working off an existing set of data but cannot connect when a clean install.

We're looking into this and have seen some possible problems on Mavericks, but don't have a consistent repro yet. We will update this thread when we have more definite information.

Any word yet? I am about to upgrade to a new machine and wondering what the 'best' way to install Logos 5.
