I am attempting to determine where in the Persues collection the phrase "justified by works" occurs.

I have searched δικαιοω but the search is way too broad.

Can someone help me?

I'm not sure whether my problem is true for all, but I cannot seem to get a search of Perseus to select the morphology. I worked around this by setting up my search in the NA27 "lemma:δικαιόω NEAR lemma:ἔργον" then switching my search to Perseus. I got 77 results in 37 verses (divide by 2 since there are two words)

Hi Chance, welcome to the forums.

Not near my Logos at the moment, but try searching for "ἔργοις δικαιούμενοι" (including the quotations) or ἔργοις NEAR δικαιούμενοι

Also try searching in the Church Fathers first, you'll get more relevant information there.

Check out this blog by Phil Gons (he works at Logos) where he makes the case that δικαιοω can have more than one sense of meaning.
