I am wondering when the sync issue will be resolved so new books will be indexed instead of having to wait for the next update to have them sync and be part of ones library.

I'm not quite sure what you're referring to...as far as I know, we don't have any outstanding issues with syncing new books. Can you elaborate? (maybe I missed a forum thread somewhere?)

Before I updated to the newest beta, beta 6. I had books that would not sync. After I updated to beta 6 this morning 59 books synced to my library.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday new books synced with my phone and IPad on the IOS side, but not the Android side.
I am using the original Kindle Fire.
Hm, this is perplexing. The especially odd thing is that while using 4.0.5, I happened to unlock some new resources for my test account to test something and they synced to my devices without a problem. The only thing I can think to mention is maybe you needed to completely exit the app and reopen it to get sync to start. If you continue to have issues with 4.0.6, please let us know and we can look into it.
I had this problem too, but what I found was that it wasn't that the book wasn't syncing (so it may be a different problem) but that the note file my notes and markup was in was not syncing.
I did however, notice that if I opened a book on my kindle and then on my iPhone that it didn't sync my progress through that book.... so perhaps these are two different problems.
I did an uninstall and reinstall and my files sync'd properly, so I don't know what the issue was, but it may be a different issue.
