Could not load books on my iPad

Hi 

There a many books that my iPad Air cannot download, nor open.

The message is: could not load <name of the book>.

This is a blocking bug.

    I just successfully downloaded this to my iPad 2 so it's not a general resource issue. 

    Couple of questions:

    • Which Logos app - and which version are you using?
    • Are you able to read the book successfully without downloading it?

    This is a blocking bug.

    What do you mean by this?

    Hi Graham. What a quick response.

    Actually I am also having the same problem on my Galaxy Note 2, which uses Android 4.1

    Cannot open Pink's Divine Covenant either online, and cannot download it either, on both iPad Air  (Logos app version 3.5.0.2195) and Galaxy Note (Logos app version 2.6.7)

    Actually I get 2 different errors when trying to open or download the book:

    • Error 1: could not load <name of the book> -->meaning the download does not start
    • Error 2: the download start, but then finishes at about 10% of the download (after about 10 sec), making me think that the download is finished. But I know it it cannot be for downloads are generally slow and take about 1 min.

    I don't remember the other books I cannot open, but there were about 3 others. 

    By blocking bug, I meant blocking issue. meaning i cannot read at all the book on either iPad or Android, except than on a laptop

    Thanks for the extra information.

    These types of problems are reported from time to time - and they often just seem to clear themselves up.

    Sometimes they are related to problems with the resource - but I don't believe that is the case this time as I can download it.

    Hopefully someone from Logos will be able to add their perspective but - one thought - are you in an area where you have good Internet connectivity or are there sometimes issues with connectivity?

    Hi Graham,

    Well this is very frustrating for I really need to read those books I am trying to open to do research my DMin paper.

    I am using the home ADSL connection, which without being fast, is not so slow either.

    It has been a very long time since I have encountered someone with this issue... but I know that there have been times in the past where some users had difficulties accessing the Logos servers at one location or another. It could be due to a firewall or some other setting in the router (or at the ISP level). 

    As Graham suggested... Have you tried accessing those resources using several other internet connections? For example, at church, a restaurant, library, etc.?

    I have similar trouble with NIDOTTE.

    If I have iPad online, I can move on index, and through the book (which I donloaded on my iPad), but if I go offline, I can't access it, which says "error loadi g the book" as if it is now downloaded
