With the arrival of 1 & 2 Timothy & Titus I am delighted that there is an improvement in what I considered a weakness of the earlier guides - the DATE is now given next to the author. This means if we don't have the resource we can put his/her writing into a certain period.

So well done Logos. I hope that this author/date feature will soon be updated in the earlier guides.

We started adding the author/date reference so that it would be easier to find the right place in case someone had the print version of a commentary on hand instead of the Logos edition. In general, the dates can help you place the commentators chronologically, though sometimes the date points to a reprint or second edition of a commentary that is substantially the same as an earlier work. For example, Hendriksen's commentary on the Pastorals was originally from the 1950s but our edition (for pagination purposes) is from the 12 volume set that Baker put out in 2002.
