Error code 4

Hello.

I was attempting to update my Libronix after transferring the files onto my laptop. but I keep getting:

Error code 4: All servers were filtered out of the list of update servers.

What does that mean in terms of getting an update?

I cannot get an update, ever.

I cannot get an update now. Try next week.

There is something I need to do first before I can update.

What does it really mean?

I still enjoy the Libronix on the desktop but I would really love to have the resources made portable.

I don't know what it means, even though I searched in https://www.logos.com/support/logos3/windows.

If you have the last Libronix 3.0g then the only updates could be resources and fonts. I ran both Libronix Update and a special Resource Update script with no problems, so your issue might be temporary.

What is your version of Libronix? What OS (Windows 8 can be flaky)? When did you install Libronix?

You need to be running Logos 4 or Logos 5 (Windows Vista SP2 or later, Mac OSx 10.6 or later) and then you can use them via a Logos app on your mobile device (iOS or Android or Windows RT).

Libronix was first installed eons ago and updated to 3.0. The original installation discs are missing. However, I have been able to transfer files to different computers over the years. With the advent of Logos I got lost somewhere along the journey.

I was of the opinion that I would still be able to access my library in Logos. That did not happen.

With that failed, I resorted to my old Libronix but now I want to use it on my Windows7 service pack 1 laptop, I am having issues.

You were correct, the update issue was temporary. That ran fine today. Now the file just would not launch on the laptop.

Will have to try something else later.

Kenneth, I'm just guessing Dave is trying to suggest you to upgrade (it's free). In your message you say you did, but didn't get your resources (in Logos)?

If so, we need to solve that problem (resources in Logos4 or 5). The criticality is to use the same email address that you set up your Libronix originally (and so your licenses). I run both Libronix and Logos5 and each uses differing email addresses. I'm assuming you sync'd Libronix earlier before your present problem.
