Logos 4 for mac: Copy & Paste Impossible from Text Comparison

Hello,

I purchased my first mac (with OSX mavericks) a few days ago, and installed Logos 4. In Windows-based laptops,

I frequently used "Text Comparison" and I could copy a few verses from that and paste them to MS Word. It was pasted as table, and I could easily handle it.

Since this feature is pretty basic, I expected this on OSX as well, but it's not. Text Comparison seems not available for selecting, which results in not copying & pasting from that. In other tabs, I can select contents partially, and can paste them to either MS Word or Pages.

I will appreciate if you help me on this issue.

I'm not able to access my computers right now and don't have access to L4 anyway. Out of curiosity... Why did you install L4? You should have installed the free L5 engine. See my signature line for the link. Once you install L5, you can post in the L5 forum. This is a ghost town and you are much more likely to get help there.

Yes. The software is always free... You pay only for the resources. There will be some new features unavailable to you without a purchase, but many new features are absolutely free. L5 is the most current engine and should be used by all users unless their system isn't compatible.

How can I download it?

Were you able to download and install L5 from the install link? https://www.logos.com/installation

I'd encourage you to do so and if you still have issues (in this case likely), create a new thread in the L5 forum. If need be, I can experiment later with you. It might be good to know which versions of the word processing softwares you are using.

After I saw your post, I went to the software and checked "About Logos Bible Software", and it says Logos Bible Software 5.1b SR-3 (5.1.2.0092). Does it mean that L5 was installed on my mac?

(But the looking and all the feature seem to be same as previous one that I used on Windows machine. I didn't purchase L5..)

Yes. 5.1b SR-3 is "L5." Logos 4 would have been something like 4.Xx SR-X.

Logos 5 is a continuation of Logos 4. It "feels" very similar. There are many differences, however. Remembering the differences can be confusing because the software is always changing.

Since you are running L5, you should post in the L5 forum to get more visibility to your question. NOTE: there isn't a "mac specific" forum. This forum is "Logos FOUR Mac," not "Logos FOR Mac." The windows and mac versions are "near parity," so Logos decided to just use one forum. If your question is Mac specific (in this case it probably is... you need to know about the interaction between Logos and Mac word processing apps), make sure to make that clear in your post. It is generally a good idea anyway to say "I am running 5.1b SR-3 on Mac OSX 10.9.x"
