Bible Word Study - color code

hi there,

I'm pretty new to Logos and am really enjoying it. Only trouble is I am trying to figure how things work here. I have one question now. In Bible Word Study, the word is shown in a circle and there are different related words in different shades of colors. Can someone explain to me what the colors refer to? Also, for example, I was researching the word 'evil' and the translated term in Greek was 'poneros'. It had several related meanings which included healthy and unhealthy. I was trying to understand why the word 'poneros' would be associated to the same word but as positives and as negatives. Thanks

I don't believe that the colors have meaning - they are simply distinguishing the percentage of the circle that belongs to the word.

When multiple original language words come from the same root, their segments have the same colour.

For example, when running a BWS on mercy, the words ἐλεέω, ἔλεος, ἐλεάω, ἐλεήμων each have their own segment, but are all coloured blue since they share the root ελεος.

this is very very helpful. Thanks.

Now I need to understand why when I looked up the Greek word 'poneros' (evil), and using the NSRV bible, one of the related words was 'unhealthy'. Then, it also cited 'healthy'. That was I was trying to understand why they cited both words for 'poneros'.
But yr explanation helped muchos. God bless.
