1.It has free full office student and home edition.

2. Keyboard is also included, with out extra payment.

    English review => http://www.anandtech.com/show/7428/asus-transformer-book-t100-review

Noticed Asus Transformer T100 runs Windows 8 so Logos 5 can be installed.  Caveat: CPU is a bit slow.

Wiki has => http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers with location of Logos folder.

Prudent to check Logos 5 storage usage.  Notice 64 GB + 500 GB drive for EUR 479,00

Agreed storage requirements need to be considered. Windows and Office would reduce the amount of free space. I would make sure you know how much that leaves free.  Look at the amount of storage your current logos install takes up,  then assuming you are going to use this device for the next two years, think about how much space you might need for the growth of your library if you intend to purchase new resources.  Additionally don't forget to take into account the free space required for indexing of your library.  If you don't have enough free space indexing could become a problem for you.

As stated above you can run desktop Logos on this machine and my wife does so with its predecessor the VivoTab Smart. The main differences are Win 8.1 (T100) vs Win 8 and a faster Atom processor. I recommend you get a MicroSD card and install Logos there to get maximum use out of the 64 GB MMC drive (flash memory card).

I am in the process of acquiring a new tablet and have considered a Windows 8 tablet. But from what I understand (perhaps incorrectly?) unless you have a high-end Win 8 tablet, the desktop version of Logos 5 performance would be quite limited by the processor and memory as compared to a laptop...

If it is really slow, it might not be so advantageous to use (???). One of the reasons I am getting a new (Android) tablet is because the Logos app was indeed quite limited by my tablet's poor performance. But I am willing to be corrected if Win 8 tablet users have had a different experience.

32-bit Windows 8 runs quite well with 2 GB memory and I usually have 0.5 GB free with moderate multitasking (Logos 5, browser & email). The performance is not up to Core i5/i7 standard but it is adequate for Logos 5; surprisingly so! Keep the MMC drive defragged, though.

What I would like to do is read and run reports (use guides) in Logos 5 and use either touch or stylus to copy/paste/highlight material. I will need to process mucho material for dissertation work. In Android, running a search is useless (on my tablet). It takes forever. It takes so long, I've never actually completed one (gave up after a long time). But of course, I cannot run guides unless I am online. This is where I am attracted to Windows 8. I would need both Logos and office installed. You're telling me that would run well?

"adequately" compared to a laptop, but much better than the Bible app on a Android/iOS device for guides and searches. Logos 5 will multi-task with MS Word and your browser.

Logos 5 is not sufficiently touch-enabled to be comfortable with a stylus! I just tried selecting text and it was frustrating, You will need a Bluetooth mouse!

Have you experienced that on different models that use styluses? Just wondering if some tablets are better than others as far as stylus usage goes and how this could affect highlighting and other functions in Logos...

Also, am I correct in understanding that some Win8 tablets don't use a tablet but just touch. Is touch any better to say, select text, zoom, drag text to somewhere else etc?

Hi Tes - this machine is garbage.  I tried it in the store multiple times on multiple days.  On one occasion, I tried to shut it down and the screen flipped over and promptly locked up.  It never actually shut down.  I walked away in horror and yet also relief I avoided later buyer's remorse.

I have this tablet and it works well, it's not the fastest but it's fast enough for most tasks.  Not sure if I would want to do all my research on it unless I had to. The only problem I am having is getting Logos to install on the microSD card.  Does anyone know how to do this?  Any help is appreciated.

Making Disciples! Logos Ecosystem = LogosMax on Microsoft Surface Pro 7 (Win11), Android app on tablet, FSB on iPhone & iPad mini, Proclaim (Proclaim Remote on Fire Tablet).

Thanks David, I appreciate the help.  I tried both method 2 and 3 but each time I restart Logos it downloads the files again to the main drive.  I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I don't have enough technical knowledge to know what.

I am using the Transformer Book with Logos 5. For me the 'booklet" has performed well and I have had no problems with it  I would recommend it, but you need to read and understand some of its idiosyncrasies.  I at first installed the program on a 64gb microSD card. Although it loaded and ran okay, it would not ever finish indexing. After asking a question about that on this forum I uninstalled from the SD card and reinstalled on the main drive.  It is now running well for me.  It does take up the bulk of the space on the main drive, but that is what Ibought this little machine for, not for gaming, etc. This iis my experience with Transformer Book and Logos 5. Your experience may be different.  Merry Christmas.

At this stage you do well to preserve the Resource folder (see Method 3 on the wiki), uninstall Logos and remove the Logos5 folder from the main drive and/or SD card. Then install using Method 3, but note the following:

    • Choose a Custom install and uncheck the “Automatically Download Updates” box.
    • If you want it to install to the microSD card on drive D: (for example) specify D: as the installation path.

Thank you Dave, it finally worked.  Logos still downloaded the entire library again and then had to index which took almost a whole day but it's all on the SD card. Thanks again for everyone's help.

You are a patient man.  I would have put the plastic cheap keyboard back on the thing and flung it like a frisbee over my backyard fence into the woods.

I heard the thing is junk and often types characters on its own.  Also the display is horrendous I have read.

It's actually not that bad.  I haven't typed much with the keyboard but when I did it was a bit small for me.  My wife has typed quite a bit with it and she likes it but her hands are smaller than mine.  Neither of us has seen it type characters on its own but when I typed I made a lot of errors due to the small size.  I wouldn't use it to type a research paper but for quick emails it works fine.  The display looks good.  It's not top of the line but works well.  I have watched a few minutes of a movie on it when traveling and surfed the internet without problems.

I wouldn't have bothered with trying to install Logos on it if the Logos app for Win8.1 was better.  I really don't need all of my library on it, just the books that I actually need/want to read.  The detachable screen is great so I don't have to sit with the big laptop on my lap while trying to read for hours.
