Some quick help for a couple of things here...

Hey all!
1. For some reason, my search results have started returning two columns of my NASB Bible... since I have no idea how I turned that on, I have no idea how to turn the second column off! You know... a standard over-40 moment!
Pic below in case you don't see what I mean...
2. When I open up my Bible from the home page... it has started appearing in a box on the right hand side of my screen with a blank space on the left, instead of the opposite, like so:
How do I fix that?
Thanks in advance, kids!

For number 1 simply click the x in the add versions box
For number 2 I do not use the Home page for the purpose of navigating to a bible or any other resource. I prefer to have logos open with a blank layout and then I can load resources how and where I want them through saved layouts.

Thanks Fred! That did it.
Anyone have any ideas with respect to number 2?

The resource - panel allocation algorithm changed in 5.2 which explains what you are seeing.
From the release notes:
" Improved the resource distribution algorithm: (See this thread.)
- Resources will now default to opening on the right, while guides/documents will open on the left; only applies to the first panel opened in a blank layout.
- New resources opened will now prefer to distribute evenly among panels, rather than clustering on the left, assuming the two panels have similar content.
- The algorithm considers each group of tab types within the panel individually, e.g. resources, guides and note documents, rather than picking one tab to represent the contents of all the tabs in the panel."

Since we're all over 40 this morning (?), I'm wondering how you typed in a reference on the home page, and only got a Bible showing (albeit in the wrong place)?
EDIT: Thank you Graham. Hmmm ... I'm thinking I'll sit out 5.2. There was another bothersome thread this am on 5.2 too.

I assumed - but could be wrong - that it was done by typing "open biblename" into the command bar when on the home page

Actually Graham I have a shortcut to my NASB next to the command box so that's how I open it... it would do the same thing though.
As for the resource distribution algorithm (I know nothing of such things) but here's my one comment: we read thing left to right... so it jars the eyes when something opens on your right with nothing next to it and when you click on a word, the definition pops up on the left, when your "natural" eye travel will be to the right, not to the left.
Is anyone else thinking that? I'm not sure if this was Logos' best idea... (although Heaven only knows that have MASSES of GREAT ideas! [:D])

Logically you are correct Carmen, but I have two screens and because of the shape of my desk and the way the two screens are positioned on it, I find the panel on the right hand side of the first screen the one is most in my direct line of site, so because of these combination of factors it works ok for me. That said I use my own layouts and never use the Go Box to 'generate' a layout determined by Logos.

You might find this thread interesting - http://community.logos.com/forums/t/76164.aspx
It was one of the places where this change was discussed during the recent beta process. (Not that it answers your specific point but it does provide some further context)
