Well my scrolling works, but I feel the priority is set kind of high on the indexing. I don't think an AMD 64 Athlon 5000+ is particularly slow, however things are sure slowing to a crawl.
Oh well, it won't be the first time the computer ran all night. Between it and the web server next to it, I should have a nice hum to sleep to.
Are we going to have to go through this regularly?

Thank you, the look and feel are much better...

Scrolling is now working on my laptop, as well. Wonderful! Also pleased to see book navigation fixed (when reading a book with the table of contents open).
That is great - makes reading much easier now.
I look forward to seeing what other changes are noticeable.
Thanks Logos.

Hahah. Here I go---complaining!! Scrolling does not seem to work on my laptop. That was in fact my number one gripe. Anyhow, I rejoice in the progress made so far. This is a good day!

Bradley, seeing as RC's aren't indicated as such in the "About Logos Bible Software" panel.
Could you please give us also the number - is 4.0a = 4.01.3.4533?
The version numbers are always in the RSS feed: https://clientservices.logos.com/update/v1/feed/logos4/stable.xml

Ward,
Just open your greek bible and hit <control> <R> [both at the same time, that is] and L4 will open the audio player. it has been THAT easy on my system. Try it.

I miss the capability I had in v3 to have the Gk (audio bible) read to me & hope that gets rolled out soon in v4. I'd also love to get a similar capability for the Hebrew.

Ward, this feature is already available in Logos 4. Just open up a Greek text, such as The Greek New Testament. 4th ed. published by the United Bible Societies. Then hold down the control button while pressing the "R" key. Logos 4 should start reading the Greek text out loud.

The first line in "About Logos Bible Software" is "Logos Bible Software 4.0a (4.01.3.4533)" - so you are correct!
Thanks for the Christmas gift of some updated functionality. I've been looking forward to the improved "Cited By" tool since I saw it demonstrated in a video; it's a lot more organized and manageable.
I keep learning new tricks from both Logos and user videos - thanks for sharing everyone!

A number of others have already replied, but I'll confirm that 4.0a is indeed v4.01.3.4533. (I've edited the announcement post to add this.)

Bradley--definitely one of the cooler avatar/thumbnail shots. Do you have a Samurai pony tail in the background??? Bono would be proud of the shades.
Thanks--it's an unretouched photo my wife took at sunset on Orcas Island. No ponytail; must just be a shadow.
Oh, does Bono shop for sunglasses at Costco, too?

Thanks Bradley and Merry CHRISTmas to you, your family, and the entire Logos Family. I have some vacation time and can't wait to dig in and do more with my bible study as I gear up for the new year. Thanks all.
Also, Merry CHRISTmas to everyone here on this topic, may you have a blessed, safe, and memorable time during this season of rememberance of our Lord's birth.
In Christ,

I spoke too soon. Copy Bible Verses still crashes L4. It waits a little longer now. At least I can get the window to open, but it crashes as soon as I execute.

Paul, you might put your problem in a new thread post and someone may be able to help...I've noticed others have put problems in this thread and I'm sure many have missed them since this thread is not for problems and getting so long....hope this isn't a major problem because I've just started looking into this routine myself.

Hi Paul,
Can you explain the circumstances leading to the crash and provide some logs using http://www.logos.com/support/article/2135

OK Mark, you've piqued my curiosity. Where do I (we) find the "Bible Search Analysis" that you find so fascinating??
I don't find it in the Tools or Guide menus; don't even find it the Help feature. It's sorta kinda like the line from "the Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" -- "you can't just say his name was Tom Donaphan and leave it at that." You can't just say there's a great new view and then not tell us where it's at or even what to look for [:)]

after installing the update, the program stopped working.

In order to help you, we need to know what operating system you are using and how it stopped working. Does it fail to start? Does it produce and error message?

"Commentaries section in Bible-reference-based guides supports custom collections of commentaries (e.g., Favorite Commentaries)"
That is very helpful. Before 4.0a you could not really add a custom commentary collection to the Passage Guide. Well you could, but Logos did not pull them up correctly. It does now. Thanks!

I JUST BET, Jeremy, that you CANNOT say that three times, really fast.
