Paul, you might put your problem in a new thread post and someone may be able to help...I've noticed others have put problems in this thread and I'm sure many have missed them since this thread is not for problems and getting so long....hope this isn't a major problem because I've just started looking into this routine myself.

I spoke too soon. Copy Bible Verses still crashes L4. It waits a little longer now. At least I can get the window to open, but it crashes as soon as I execute.
Hi Paul,
Can you explain the circumstances leading to the crash and provide some logs using http://www.logos.com/support/article/2135

OK Mark, you've piqued my curiosity. Where do I (we) find the "Bible Search Analysis" that you find so fascinating??
I don't find it in the Tools or Guide menus; don't even find it the Help feature. It's sorta kinda like the line from "the Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" -- "you can't just say his name was Tom Donaphan and leave it at that." You can't just say there's a great new view and then not tell us where it's at or even what to look for [:)]

In order to help you, we need to know what operating system you are using and how it stopped working. Does it fail to start? Does it produce and error message?

That is very helpful. Before 4.0a you could not really add a custom commentary collection to the Passage Guide. Well you could, but Logos did not pull them up correctly. It does now. Thanks!
Is it my imagination or is the merging of indexes in Logos 4.0a faster? It used to take my computer more than eight hours to merge indexes even when I only added only one small book. (OK, I forced the indexes to merge.) I just added a large set and the estimate for merging the indexes in Logos 4.0a is now only one hour.

Yes, one of the big optimizations in 4.0a is in the index merging.
Prov. 15:23

William, you've already received a reply. I'll just add:
In 4.0, there was no merging of indexes. There was only a complete index rebuild - contrary to what was indicated in the search panel.
With 4.0a we now have index merging and the supplemental index is truly merged into the main index. That is the reason for the faster "merging."
4.0a's been out for a couple of days now and just thought to add my two cents. I agree that the indexing seems faster! The whole program seems "smoother", too. But I had a delightful discovery (even though it was mentioned in the list of fixes)...and this discovery actually fixed a problem in Windows 7 that I didn't know existed.
I tapped F9 and heard this noise coming from my headphones. Unplugging the headphones a muffled sound came from the speakers, even at top volume, yet was fine in the headphones. After awhile it dawned on me to visit my computer manufacturer's website to update the audio codecs. ιδου! The speakers gave me a clear woman's voice describing the page I was on in L4.
What a nifty idea!! Most of us won't need that utility after awhile but it will surely be helpful to newbies! [:D]

Sir, when I type update now in the command box, it comes back with 2400 updated words. What am I doing wrong?
Did this happen more than once? By "2400 updated words" did you mean resources? Did your system then update?
Hello, I want to take advantage of the 4a update however it doesn’t seem available.
I have the Upgrade Scholar's Library: Gold (ND) to Scholar's Library: Platinum (LE) [DVD] SR-7 (4.0.3.3272).
“ Automatically Download Updates” is selected in the Program Settings.
I’ve typed “Update now” in the Command box and receive a “No Updates Available” message in the lower right corner of the Logos.
Thanks
Wes

Hi Wes,
If you are not 'working offline', have an Internet connection, and "Use Internet" and "Automatically Download Updates" are both set to "Yes," the 4.0a update should be downloading to your computer. Do you see the small, blue Logos icon in the system tray on the Windows taskbar? It may be in the process of downloading. If you don't see it, and all the above are true, it might be best to get log files and attach them to this thread. You'll find information on logging in this support article: http://www.logos.com/L4/Support/DiagnosticLogging. You may also want to contact Logos Customer Support at 800-875-6467 or support@logos.com.
Thanks,
Melissa
I have the same problem as mentioned above. I have Gold (4.0.3.3272), but none of these new features are working for me, so I must not have the update. I typed "update now" in the command box and it told me that there were no updates available. The other day it started updating and indexing, but it must not have given me 4.0a because, as I said, these new features are not available to me. I've tried the command a few times. I am connected to the internet. I have "Automatically Download Updates" and "Use Internet" checked as "Yes" in my settings. I've closed the program and reopened it. I've closed tabs and reopened them. Nothing. Can anyone help? :-/
I had this problem with one of my machines - I went to this link https://clientservices.logos.com/update/v1/feed/logos4/stable.xml and manual downloaded and installed the most recent install.
