New Surface Pro 2

Just received my early Christmas present....Surface Pro 2. Can't wait until Logos downloads. Sure it will take most of the evening. Have to wait for the Type Key Board to come in tomorrow from Best Buy as Microsoft was out. Any thoughts on a carrying case for those who have the Surface?

Claybon,
Congratulations on your new Surface Pro 2. It will be better than my original Surface Pro in many ways, including battery life and lack of heat.
I would look at a sleeve-type of case for your SP2. Then you can put the SP2 into a bag like my slimline Tumi briefcase to take it on the go.
Enjoy!

After you use it for a while, please tell your expirience

Definitely interested in hearing what you all think... if I ever have money again, I'm planning on giving the laptop to the husband and getting a new one for myself (a Surface Pro 2, not another husband!) [:D]
Tomorrow being our 22nd anniversary... he's passed the probation period... [;)]

I have this case for my Surface Pro 2 (which incidentally runs Logos 5 rather well):
Works with or without the Type Cover. Has a nice little strap you can flip over to keep it closed. Not overly bulky.

Looks great!

Thanks Claybon! :-)
Nice case, Orville!
I think my dream case, if this works size-wise would be this one:

I love the vintage look and feel... but of course, I'm also into fountain pens! [;)]

Ooohhh - that is really cool and different! A bit pricey, but I am picturing how awesome that would look sitting on my desk, "Pastor, what is that book?"
"That is not a book, that is my tablet!" Dun Dun Duh..... (cymbal crash)

Maybe they will do one for the Surface soon. I will book mark this page.
Thanks![H]

Wondering what size hard drive you chose for your new Surface Pro 2? What kind of dent in space did your Logos install make?

I went with the 256 GB. I have 6300 books and still have 169 GB left. Have added a few more programs. I am still learning it but I have found it to be just what I wanted. I don't need Wi Fi to use Logos when I'm away from home and that is awesome. It's a little heavier than my iPad but that's not a problem for me. My main thought was to have full use of Logos while I'm teaching or preaching. Got it! Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! Looks like the SP2 is will fill the need since my laptop is dying. Just need to save up and hope for a sale.

I am looking at purchasing a Surface Pro 2. I have the gold package as well as some Greek add-ons. Do you have any problems running the full version? Being able to do a significant amount of study from a tablet is quite appealing so I am interested in your experience. Thanks!

I have the SP2 and the Platinum Logos 5 with about 250 additional resources and all runs great on the tablet. My only complaint is that after indexing and such my Logos install takes up around 16GB of space. I bought the 64GB hard drive version and wish I would have bought the 128GB version.

David, IMHO you can't go wrong. Have had mine since November and am still excited about how Logos functions. I'm sure you will be pleased just as I am.
