"Crash " after pinwheeling

Each time I open Logos 5 it just pinwheels at the homepage. I have been able tyo open resources but eventually the program shuts downs on me.
I have deleted Logos 5, re downloaded the software from logs and reinstalled. Still have the same problem.

Most of the time, a reinstall of the app is pointless... the issue is normally in the data and/or resource files & databases. Those are not touched when you delete the app and reinstall. It's like putting a new coat of paint over a totaled car.Wayne Botting said:I have deleted Logos 5, re downloaded the software from logs and reinstalled. Still have the same problem.

Did these logs come immediately after a crash, and before you restarted the app? I am only "half techie" and didn't gather anything from my first glance. I'll look up some things later if need be. If your logs didn't come immediately after the crash, however, we will need to see those logs instead.

The log attached was a sample taken whilst program was pinwheeling.

Wayne, that log shows less than a minute of operation from the time you started Logos. That certainly isn't too long. It was working along at the time as you note, not hung up.
Since you are trying to load the Home Page you should know that Logos has added a huge number of new resource offerings in the past week and one person reported having 30 pages of Home Page material. That would take awhile to download.
To get back to work use the CMD key to restart Logos. Hold the key down while you click on the Logos icon to start the program and continue holding it down until you see a dialog box. Check where it says "Open to a blank layout" and then Sign In. Logos will skip loading the Home Page which may allow you into the program to use it.

If you're on Mac, try the following:
- Start Logos with the Cmd key pressed down.
- When the dialogue box appears, choose Offline mode.
- When Logos is open, click on the little gear-wheel at the bottom left of the Home Page and uncheck Verse of the Day.
- Restart normally to get back to online mode.

Thank you guys. I have it working now and I did not read the verse of the day. I have my own reading plan. God bless.
