Seeking an opinion of Asus F200CA Ultrabook

I have a new desktop, with an i7 at home, and an iPad 3 64 GB for general reading. I also have a HP 17" Laptop, which I made the mistake of upgrading, with a 250 GB SSD drive. I am considering using the Laptop as a boat anchor.

Today, I purchased an Asus F200CA, with Win 8, from Sam's for my wife. The 11.6 screen is very nice, and the fact that it can serve as more than a mere reader makes the size ideal for church. I would like to know what performance can I expect. Will this ultrabook run a Logos 5 with a large library efficiently?

With Core i3 processor and 4 GB RAM it should be OK (2 GB is insufficient for a 64-bit OS). The 5400 RPM HDD in a 2.5" form factor could be OK.

Dave, unfortunately, the CPU is a Celron and not an i3.

As you have the machine why not give it a try. You can use Method 2 or Method 3 to speed up the installation.

If your gonna toss the laptop, I would consider putting that SSD in the Asus if it's upgradable/compatible.
