help accidental deletion from a "Note"

I am mortified and horrified -- I spent HOURS translating a passage using several commentaries, putting my translation and all my notes into a "Note" (I have logos 4). Yesterday it was there, today, only the first four verses of my 31 verses are there! Everything else is just GONE!!!!! I do not remember doing anything that would equate to deleting -- but it's gone! Is there any way to access a previous version of a note?

If you are using Logos 5 Amy there is an undelete documents command at the bottom of the Documents menu.

Hi Amy
So sorry to hear about this - that's a real blow.
It is possible to retrieve an entirely deleted notes file (users can do it themselves in Logos 5, Logos Customer Service were often able to do it in Logos 4) but what you are describing seems to be the portion of a notesfile which is more of a challenge.
Do you have more than one installation of Logos software? If so, it is possible the full contents of the note has been synchronised to the other installation. To check this, open it offline (to avoid any further synching) and see what is there.
Otherwise I would avoid making any further changes to the note and contact Logos Customer Services and see if they can help or advise.
Contact details are available at https://www.logos.com/contact
Please let us know how you get on

It seems that I remember something similar to this happening to someone before. The user was able to call Logos and Logos was able to recover the old note file for them off of their servers. Maybe they can do the same for you?

Are note files stored on Logos servers? So if my computer crashed, would my notes be saved in the cloud somewhere?

Kevin, I believe that is the case, that all your notes are synced to the Logos servers. You can view (I'm not sure if you can edit) your notes in the cloud at documents.logos.com.
