I need to work on my Christmas Eve service and on the New Years Sunday service - this is not a good time to have a download.

Go to Program Settings and set automatically download updates to No. If you get an update notice just ignore it. You still have a little control.
No can do - went immediately to "Preparing to download" and L4 did not open - I can still revert to L3. This, for me, is a horrible time to tie up my Logos resources for a download.
Thanks for the reply.
Yep. Yours is a good argument against some of the 'cloud' stuff in Logos 4. Put more power back in the hands of the users.
I may be a little dumb on this, or its my Windows XP, but my new software downloaded in about 5 minutes, but did not automatically update...I had to click on the small icon to update it, so I could have delayed if I wanted to....
Maybe. But a software update is usually quite quick. If resources were included (the Help file) then some indexing will be needed.
A software update should be quite quick. Has it completed?
It never started before I turned it off and went to L3. I will restart before I go to bed for the evening in the hopes that it finishes over night.
Blessings,
