Have saved layouts display current day readings

I have set up a saved layout in my Logos/Verbum 5.2, and it works as advertized - sort of. The problem is that it always pulls up the same day whenever I open Verbum. Is there any way that I can have the readings for the current day display whenever I open this layout? I would also love to do the same thing for "Pictorial Lives of the Saints" - where it will display the reference for today whenever I open this layout.

Which is not a problem until you want the day changed[:)]

There is no way for a saved layout to be dynamic for date-based resources.

One way may be to have an 'Update Active Layout' button on the toolbar. When you finish your reading, move to the next reading in sequence and click the button to update the layout. Next time you open the layout it will give you the next reading in sequence. Of course, it's not linked to the date!
