why is logos opening books on the right column when opened from the home page? can someone help me? thanks
I can't answer your question, but I have been experiencing the same thing. I will be interested in the response.
This is a new feature in Logos 5.2, from the release notes: "Resources will now default to opening on the right, while guides/documents will open on the left; only applies to the first panel opened in a blank layout" (http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_5.2)

Hope my suggestion meets your desire. If you don't like this behavior you can have the program open to a blank screen. This way you can drag and drop your desired text from your library (careful not to click on the cover) or from your command box (esp. bibles and bible dictionaries). If you key in the appropriate abbreviation a drop-down list will appear saying something like Open English Standard Version (abbrev. esv; not case sensitive) you can drag the line saying Open etc. anywhere in the blank screen. This works with a populated screen as well.
Below is a screen shot of settings and the red arrow points to the place were you can enter your option. The Home icon will populate the Homepage if you desire to return to it. So, the short answer to your question is opening a book from the Homepage the default setting is to open the book on the far right of the page
.
Thank you all. I wish there is a setting to switch to earlier update. I appreciate your tips.
