In putting together a calendar devotional of Advent and Christmastide historical sermons, the first I've actually used the L4/5 sermon function I have found that some basic metadata is missing:

  • liturgical date / occasion
  • non-Biblical text e.g. Keble on collect for Advent
  • title - where the title is very long, it doesn't make sense to have it be the heading e.g. "A Discourse, Delivered on Sabbath Morning, February 23, 1851 on the Occasion of the Opening of the Cleveland and Columbus Railroad"
  • source of sermon
  • it would also be nice to be able to distinguish the primary (lectionary) text(s) from the other text(s) used for the sermon
