Missing Books

After years of using Logos on my PC, I switched to a Mac and just downloaded and installed the new Logos 5. I had been using a version of Logos' engine that was 10 years old! It did what I wanted, so I was fine. I'm enjoying this new interface and it was easy to update.
However, as I'm attempting to set up my workspace, I've discovered that I'm missing a number of my books, including the NIV, BAGD, and Vine's. There are a few others I've discovered missing, as well, and there may be more.
How do I "get" these books back? Very surprised to be missing the NIV, for example.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
David

Do you remember what version that was? Do you still have access to that PC?

There are a handful of books that will not download from the Logos servers mostly ones that Logos is not longer allowed to distribute usually. They would be on your OLD PC and could be placed on a thumb drive and placed into your resources folder Located /users/YOURNAME/Library/Aplication Suppport/Logos4/Data/WEIRD NUMBER/Resource Manager/Reosurces

NOTE: to get to your Library folder in finder hold done the option button and it is in the Go emu then, (otherwise it's a hidden folder).

Please note this will work only if the Licences have been backed up to the Logos server.....

I don't know if they have been, but I doubt it, since I was on such an old version.
How can I find out and, if not, how can I back these up to their server from my old PC that's running Libronix DLS 3.0?

The books ought to download into Logos 5 if the following is true:
- The books were unlocked in Libronix/Logos 3.
- You had synchronised licences in Libronix/L3.
- You are using the same email address in Libronix/L3 and Logos 5.
If you still have access to your L3 install, go to Tools -> Library Management -> Synchronize Licences, and make sure it completes successfully.
Once you've done this, go to Logos 5, and type update resources in the command box, and press enter. That should make sure everything is synced and downloaded.

If this fails to work to get you all your books, you can manually transfer the files of the missing books to the folder as I mentioned above. Although this should work completely... The Only 2 files I had to manually transfer to Logos were the Jerome Biblical Commentary and Oxford Bible Commentary. But I am not aware of what files you might be missing, it might be possible the NIV had to be removed from the servers when NIV2011 came in and Logos had to stop selling 1984...

Don't get rid of this setup until you've successfully migrated! *smile*
You may need it for reference to your purchased resources ...

I don't like disagreeing with other forum members, but I wouldn't recommend this. It can cause books to remain unindexed. If the update resources command misses older books, the recommended strategy is to copy those resources to a temporary folder, and then type in scan c:\path\to\temporary\folder into the command box, press ENTER, and then restart Logos. (Or if you have the resources on a removable disc, type scan optical media).

I was not able to get Libronix 3 to synch my resources. So, I called the Logos Help Desk. A very nice lady (Anna) walked me through how to backup my licenses from Libronix 3. Then, I emailed the file to her. She simply uploaded it and my Logos 5 on my Mac automatically started downloading my additional 36+ resources that had been unlocked. Looks like I'm now good to go. Thanks, everyone - and Anna!
