Do Visual Filters require Indexing to be complete?

I've just reinstalled 4.0a and it's currently indexing. Although my morph. visual filters appear as expected in the File menu, they do not appear on the filters menu for the relevant resources, nor appear in the resource text either.

Do these depend on indexing being completed,or at least, indexing being complete for the resource in question?

My initial reaction when I read your message was "yes", but I could not tell you why technically. Please let us know if they do appear when you are done indexing. Interesting question!

My guess is that a visual filter e.g. colouring verbs, needs to know where the verbs are, which I guess requires indexing, but that's my "black box" hunch as much as anything.

Not sure why they don't appear in the drop down menu though.

if I remember from my reinstall, they wont show until you restart.. but if you're indexing you probably dont want to do that

My guess would be that indexing has to be complete as Visual Filters performs a Search.
