Index of Maps in Holman Bible Atlas

Dear Reader,

I would like to find a certain place on the map, when I look in the Index of Maps in Holman's Bible Atlas, it says the following:

"This index contains all geograpical names (countries, regions, places, and physical features) appearing in the maps. Names occurring more than fifteen times have been reduced to representative map occurrences; an asterisk after the name indicates each name so treated. Information in parentheses after the name signify an alternate spelling [e.g. Knossus (Cnossus)], another name for the same place [e.g. Acco (Ptolemais)], or a geographical annotation to distinguish sites bearing the same name [e.g. Aphek (in the Sharon)]. References to geographical names found in the text of the atlas can be found in the accompanying Index of People and Places."

But the references in this index are to passages not to the maps. Would it be possible to make links to the maps in which these places/rivers/regions etc. occur?

Blessings,

Piet

    I like that suggestion.

This has still not been fixed.

In addition, there are many place names which show up in the Holman index, but not in the Logos search tab. For example Acmonia, Acquarossa.

    But it's not only Holman.

The Crossway Bible Atlas has many map items in its own index which don't show up on a search, such as Achelous River, Acruvium and Adab, all of which are in the Regional Maps section.

I always thought the Logos searches were bullet proof, but apparently not[:(]

Any chance of Logos fixing the searches to reflect all items shown in the various indices?

I've purchased many various atlas, and books with maps.  Nothing is indexed in Logos.  I wish they would fix this too.

I know you posted a long time ago, but this still is an issue.  All maps in books are NOT indexed, they are classified as media and almost impossible to find anything.  I wish LOGOS would index these books.
