Command question

Is there a command to do the same thing that the search box on the home screen (in the top left corner of the home screen)? I'm looking to load a blank layout and then be able to lookup the same kind of information (passage guide, exegetical guide, Bibles, commentaries, information box, and compare versions). This would speed things up if I didn't have to load the home screen first. Thanks.

I'm not sure if I am understanding your correctly or not but it seems to me that, if you just created a named layout, that would accomplish what you are looking to do. For instance, set up the screen exactly the way you desire and then go to layouts and click "saved as named layout". Then the next time you want to do that kind of search you are ready to do.
