HELP needed "Resources"

I am just starting seminary and I purchased Logos to supplement that journey. I thought it would be a great idea to have 2,000 books at my disposal until I realized I HAVE 2,000 BOOKS!!! I am lost, don't know where to start, and I have a headache. I have watched endless video tutorials so I understand the concepts I feel a beginner should know. What I don't know is how to apply this to my walk with Christ.

I am the young adult minister at my church for I lead a YA Sunday school and I am in rotation with the other ministers for offering, lectionary, and other service officiating.

I need practical direction on how to export these vast resources to my life, I know how to export it to Word. [:D]

I need help with suggestions on the following

1. Use a bible, commentary(which is best), a dictionary(same question), and etc

2. Use searches 1, 2, or 3 for school study, Sunday school, or personal study

3. Heres how to take note, save, and return what you have done.

(side bar it is almost frustrating that everything I do is in the back ground. I am used to MS Office where you do something you save it, edit it, share it. I click one thing and I can't remember which 200 year old book I was just reading, and enjoying might I add

4. Never leave the above steps until you've perfected them.

5. Use perfected here's where you may want to go from there.

See I love God and I am confident this software will help once I learn it better. Right now it is distracting me I am hopeful someone can help me.

As you have pointed out it is very powerful software and can be overwhelming. I love the fact that you want this to help deepen your relationship with Christ and I believe that it can help in that journey. Never lose your love for Christ!

Your post could be responded to in a variety of ways and I'm sure that others will offer some great advice. I'm just going to say a few things that I think are important for you to consider. Perhaps you already know some or all of what I will say but still it is nice to read it from someone else too.

I would encourage you to simplify things in your mind. Don't feel that you have to master all of the 2,000 resources that you currently own. Over time you will learn more and apply it little by little.
You mentioned you have just started seminary. That journey will help greatly as you learn to use Logos... again, one step at a time.
You have said you have already watched many videos. I fear that you may already be on "overload" but there are some great links to help you learn more.

Take time to learn one feature at a time and then actually practice it. Don't just watch them.
Take time to hang out on the forums and ask questions that you can't solve. You will find this to be an amazing community that is willing to help. I learn something new almost every day here.

Thank you Bruce for you response. I am truly excited about the future and my walk with Christ. "Iron sharpens iron..." so I am glad glad to have Christian family in these forums.

I going to start with researching a bible passage, setting my favorite layout, a group of resources, then export to word or proclaim to share with my Sunday school.

The group of resources is probably my most important hurdle. I need to find a reliable commentary, dictionary, and supporting docs. That way I will know that I'm teaching with additional resources but not be distracted trying to be the best theologian of the 21st century.

It can be overwhelming. If you have not yet used the "Cited By" tool, you really should. You can set it to either a linkset or to follow whatever you are on. It will automatically search your library to find references to the passage. You will probably want to set up some collections to sort all of that, and the wiki has some good starter collections.

Try to use your dictionaries more than commentaries. I like the Anchor-Yale for in depth articles, but there are plenty of other good ones out there too. See what is useful to you. See what tells you what you don't know, in a way you can understand it...

Commentaries? Lots of topics on that one here. Just be aware that there are lots of different purposes for commentaries.
