There are two important threads covering this topic for Mac. But, there is no documentation for the PC. Does anyone know how to make this work for PC?

Peace, Beloved!                              *smile*                                  I still haven't figured out a plan ...

I THINK I'll be backing up my .docx PB files on DropBox or SkyDrive; however, I also THINK I'm not going to be backing up my "compiled" files .....

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

The strategy here also applies to PC. Why do you think it would be different?

Other option is copying compiled pbb files from one Logos 4 installation, then scan in other Logos 4 installation(s).

    1. Build Personal Book (PB) in one Logos 4 installation
    2. Sync to Logos servers
    3. Copy compiled lbspbb file(s) from Resources folder to USB or Dropbox or ...
    4. Switch to different Logos 4 installation
    5. Sync with Logos servers
    6. Use command: scan <path>  where <path> has folder containing lbspbb file(s) on USB or Dropbox or ...
    7. Restart Logos 4
    8. Resource discovery should copy lbspbb file(s) with scan <path> to Resources folder then index PB's

Copy and scanning lbspbb file(s) avoids having to change path to docx for building on different platforms, then build.

For Logos 5 and Verbum, same steps are usable (only the application changes).

Note: <path> on Windows and OS X have different conventions.  Wiki => http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_Multiple_Macs#Copy_Logos_Resources_to_Mac_OS_X has a table with Logos resource folder names, which include default <path>.  Windows installation has option to specify custom location.  OS X can use a symbolic link to default location.

Won't it be nice when they will be able to sync automatically? I look forward to the day.

I stayed up all night finding the trail of tidbits which led to a satisfactory conclusion. Your information was essential to the answer, but my intentions were to find a way of backing up the compiled files as in my mind this was the most elegant solution to the problem. The following thread has had the least attention but was particularly important esp. Allen's input. http://community.logos.com/forums/p/78597/549697.aspx#549697

Kudos to everyone who has contributed!
