Logos Blast from the Past Base Package!

No is not available, but it would be nice if Logos offered a Blast from the Past version that is cheaper and offered all the Classic Commentaries and writings bundled together in a base package. I just don't see myself spending $3,500 on old commentaries that don't really include all the "classic writings..." But if it was included as a base package...say at a Silver or Gold price, then it'd be easier to spend that kind of money, plus you get other features that you like. So hopefully Logos will think about it and I'm sure more people would sign up to buy those; hence, make Logos more money -- and those of us who missed out on the CP price's could still have a chance to own all those old works at a more reasonable and affordable price. So how about it?

Since you have been around a while with 1050 posts, I dont understand why you didn't get the classic commentaries when they were on community pricing at far less than 3500?

I'm in the forums more than most users... It's hard for me to keep up with all the resources in CP.

Well as Alabama24 mentioned, sometimes it's hard to keep up with them and sometimes your budget won't allow it even if it's only a $10 bucks resource and sometimes a drastic turn of events in your life will have you cancel your CP pre-pub orders, even if some were $5 bucks...lol...Circumstances vary from user to user. That's why, from now on, I'm using my own personalized "Book Caché Program" which features using money for prepubs, upgrades, unexpected emergencies, or a new electronic device (should the need arise). It's my own program with a separate account that allows me to use my money anyway I want. I still have an extra emergency funds and savings account which are my priority but every little bit I put into the "Book Caché" (Personalized version of it not Logos) is good for new resources and other things I want or will want in the future. My prepubs total is not that big now, but I can honestly tell you that if all my prepubs were to be released tomorrow, I have the money to pay for all of them and not miss out on one, unless I return it because it was not what I expected it to be. But again, circumstances vary from user to user.
Blessings!

Though I don't have as many posts as Dal, I've been around the forums for a year, or year and a half, and even in all of that time there were a number that were created before I was cognizant of them.
Then at various points more came due than I was able to purchase in a single month even though I had committed and so I would be forced to delete my orders ().
I got a few of them, but they still want 1200$+ for me to complete the set.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

Another idea for a "Blast from the Past" package (which is what I thought this thread was going to be about when I first saw the subject line) would be an annual sale to mark the anniversary of the founding of Logos where anyone could buy a base package consisting of all the resources that were included in one of the old discontinued base packages (that is, all the resources that Logos still carries) at a price that is N% off what the original cost was when that base package was first announced, where N increases every year with the number of years Logos has been in business.

That's another great idea! I certainly wouldn't mind having some of the old resources that I don't own anymore. [:)]

I am not sure if I missed a hidden joke here but just in case...
I thought that if you owned a resource once you owned it for ever.
In which case how are there resources you don't own any more?Have you transferred the licence to somebody else?

I read that as "can't" rather than "don't".

There's no hidden joke Mike. You are correct, once you own a resource you own it forever, but in my case I've sold some of my old resources; that's why I said I wouldn't mind having some of the old resources I don't own anymore.
Blessings!

I had a hard swallow to accept the Classic Commentary package even with some of my previous CP buys before it leaped upward. It's really not that overwhelmingly necessary. It relieved me of having to plow through PDF files of works in public domain that I had been using when I wanted to read what was written.
I blame Logos for having turned me into a spoiled brat. Not that it's such a bad thing...[;)]
