download time?

I'm buying a new desktop. I have Logos 5 Portfolio, not all the books but about 2300. I've had this package for a year, plus Logos 4 then 5 for several years. Anyone have any ideas how long it will take to download all the updates, etc. after I install from my disk? Am I looking at hours? Days? Weeks?

    Without knowledge of your Internet access speeds, or type of connection, I can safely say it will take several hours to download resources**! But you can avoid that by saving your Resource folder and using Method 3 (or the Mac equivalent).

    ** if you have an installation DVD I would not recommend loading an older version of the software + updates to its resources would still take several hours to download!

    More than an hour and less than a year. [;)]

    It, of course, depends on your connection speed. For me that sort of download might take all night.

    However you actually do not have to suffer through a re-download of your resources if you can network your old and new computer together and then use Method 2 described here: http://wiki.logos.com/Quick_Installation_onto_multiple_computers
