Please Help, no reverse interlinear pane!

If someone could help me out I'd really appreciate it. I'm new to Logos and I'm trying to access the reverse interlinear function. For english translations I use the NASB95 and the ESV. As far as I understand, both of those translations ought to have the reverse interlinear pane/function. There is a button that, if i click on it, says "all parallel resources" with a list of all my bibles. Though I don't think that's what I'm looking for.

Any advice would be greatly appreciate.

Stephen, welcome.

There are two ways to display the interlinear data. They each involve a different button. I've illustrated them below. If you don't have these buttons, there could be two reasons: indexing hasn't been completed or your package did not contain these interlinears.

What would you do? I think it indexed but I could certainly be wrong about that. How do I make it index.

Hi Stephen.

So it looks as though the reverse Interlinear capability isn't enabled in your setup.

Can you tell us whether you bought the Bibles as individual resources or have you purchased any of the Logos base packages?

If you did not purchase a base package, you may not have the reverse interlinear. Do you have a base package? If so, which one? Also what platform are you running on (Windows, Mac, IOS, Android, etc.)?

If you do have a base package, try typing in the command rebuild Bible index in the Logos 5 command bar. (to the right of the menu in Windows or Mac). Be sure to let it finish. Don't turn off the computer or let it 'sleep' or 'hybernate' while this is happening as that can give unpredictable results. If you must, pause indexing first before sleeping of hybernating the computer. (If you reboot the computer before indexing is finished, you'll just have to start over with the entire process.)

You're absolutely right. I don't have a base package. I have the Logos 5 engine that's free to download. But I just bought $1000 worth of resources. Do I have to buy a package to get that feature? Or is their another way?

No need to feel dumb - it can be difficult to get this all straight.

You could go for the Logos 4 Minimal Crossgrade - https://www.logos.com/product/28576/logos-4-minimal-crossgrade - as you have already got the NASB95 and ESV Bibles this should give you the RI capability you are looking for.

Or you could go for the Logos 5 Bronze package - https://www.logos.com/product/24534/bronze

Very much depends on what functionality you are looking for. And you may get some discount based on the resources you have just bought.

Before doing anything I would contact Sales, explain the situation and what you are looking for and see how they can best help

To add to what Graham has said, I'd point you toward the Logos 5 Minimal Crossgrade which will get you the datasets for other Logos 5 tools. If you have $1000 invested in resources I'd suggest this is the least you'd want to do.

Thats a good suggestion but, on its own, I don't think it provides the RI capability Stephen is looking for.

You are correct. I may have misled him. As you pointed out, he'd need the L4 Minimal Crossgrade for those. I think adding the L5 Minimal Crossgrade is probably a cheaper way for him to get all the L5 functionality than going with just the L5 Bronze package. The L5 Bronze package will get him the RI's (therefore eliminating the need for the L4 Minimal Crossgrade) and most of the L5 datasets. However, I think obtaining the L4 and L5 Minimal Crossgrades will get him all the RI's and all the L5 functionality in the least expensive way.

If he decides to buy a base package, he should ask the sales rep to return everything that's included in that base package before the base package is processed, or he'll lose a lot of money. The discount won't even be close to what he payed.
