Logos 5 is bugged and crashing
When ever I try to open a new layout in fullscreen it crashes and freezes up, I then have to force quit, then when open it for the first time it opens as a very small window in the bottom lower left hand corner and takes me several minutes to get it to fullscreen. It constantly lags, crashes and then crashes and freezes when waking from sleep. Seriously I paid good money for this program, why do I have these problems???

Hi Damien - and welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear you are having problems but we would need some more information to be able to try and help
- What version of the Logos software are you running?
- Are you running on Windows or MacOS?
- Can you enable diagnostic logging and logs logs after a crash? Details at http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Alternatively contact Logos Customer Services (contact details at https://www.logos.com/contact) and see if they can help

I'm using Logos 5 (5.2.0.0091)
I'm running on Mac latest operating system and up to date.
I believe you already know the problems, I have explained them already.
but I'll try and explain again...
every time I open logos, it opens in the lower lefthand corner.
in full screen mode if I change the layout, it shrinks and freezes (crashes) and I need to force quit.

Secondly, Graham is a volunteer, taking time out of his day to help you. I know you are upset, but please be respectful. At this point, you have two options:
- Enable and post logs (see my signature line), and answer questions that other users may have OR
- Contact Logos customer service by phone during business hours.

Sorry Graeme if I offended you. I am obviously not the Christian you expect me to be and I appolagise if this is hard for you to understand. I find it hard to type all love dovey when a program I pay good money for repeatebly has gives me grief. I expect to be respected also, and selling me a software which is still in construction is not showing respect to the customer. Now I am not trying to attack you or Graeme and I appreciate your time and forgive me for failing to recognise your a volunteer. I am being respectful, patient and clear. My sin here is expecting a Christian organisation to provide a good program and not treat me like lab rat!
I was considering upgrading, but I really don't like spending money on programs which don't operate correctly.
I am truly sorry though for offending, I do wish I was the person you expect me to be so that my problem can be heard, but obviously I'm not going to get this problem resolved with out wasting a heck of a lot of time.

The problem when waking from sleep has been addressed as Scott mentioned and the fix will be in the next release (we don't know when, though). We would like to confirm this and look at your other issue, but it requires some logs as Graham and Alabama mentioned (click on the blue link in their post).

One option is contacting Logos => https://www.logos.com/contact who, with your permission, can remotely connect to your computer for troubleshooting.
If would like other Logos users to look at crashes, please attach Logos diagnostic log files => https://www.logos.com/support/logos5/mac/problem
Apologies: personally puzzled by Logos working for a number of Mac users while being a pain for others. Caveat: while using Logos 4 pre-release versions, learned to click once and wait for Logos to respond.
Logos 5 is a resource intensive application that benefits from fast processor, graphics, and quick storage along with adequate memory; Solid State Disk (SSD) is noticeably faster than hard disk.

Observation: Logos software is free. Payment was made for resource licenses.
Thankful for 583 free Vryso ebooks in my Logos library.
Thankful for resources added by upgrading base packages.

Hello, I am sorry for my attitude and appreciate your time, I do love logos very much, yes I am frustrated with a few inconvenient errors which are minimal compared to the real issues in life, I ask for your forgiveness and don't expect your to forgive me, but hope you do for your own benefit. I have had a bad week and decided to take that out on you.
Yes I am having issues with Logos, but I am overall in love with this awesome program and hope that your update will fix the issues, but as I said "my issue is so minimal compared to the real issues people struggle with everyday in this world. I am slightly embarrassed that I even thought I had a right complaining about a minor error when children are starving, being sold as slaves and beaten and sexually abused by people they should be able to trust.
I would like to add that the issue I was having with logos opening in the bottom left hand corner and the freezing which happens when I change layout in full screen only happens when I have the four pan layout working, so I am now jut using the two pan layout and with the sleep issue, I just close logos before putting the Mac to sleep.Thank you again and yes, when my savings is complete I will still be upgrading!

Since the window size wasn't being written to preferences correctly, it was going back to some very old (and very small) size. I don't think we know where that small window preference came from, but it should be overwritten now when you close the program.
Observation: Logos 5 on Windows 7 also has some opening times with window not maximized (different than when application was closed). Caveat: Windows default small size is notably bigger than OS X default.
