I find that there are a number of churches that spend a great deal of effort coming up with position papers on many of the issues. Assembly of God, Church of God (Cleveland), Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Evangelical Presbyterian are the first to come to mind. I find reading the various position papers on a topic generally provides me with the ability to discuss either side of an issue effectively and to truly engage in an effective conversation with someone who I believe is coming down on the wrong side.
I'd actually been thinking that we should encourage Logos to offer us access to position papers from many denominations because they are a top notch source of current ethical debate, church encounter with society, the pros-and-cons on issues where the churches are divided. Thanks for giving me the opinion to make my suggestion in a context where others may see why I make the suggestion.
I could see this being done on a subscription basis so that Logos could produce them quickly after their release while knowing the costs would be covered.
