Changes to Forum UI? Can no longer use Firefox spellchecker.

The last couple of days I noticed that the right-click menu in these forums no longer allows the Firefox spellchecker to work in the message window. Instead I get this:
I really don't need that. Is there a work-around for this? Can it be disabled by the forum mod's/techs (please)?

I confirm the problem

Same in Safari, and it annoys me too.
More importantly, there are Logos users out there whose English is considerably worse than mine. Making it harder for them to use the forums is not a good idea. Nor is making it harder for us to understand them.

Yes, it is quite annoying. The built-in spell-check is much more useful. To revert, Logos would need to remove 'contextmenu' from the list of TinyMCE plugins.
In the meantime, you can CTRL+click to get the browser's context menu and access the spellcheck.

Fascinating: I accidentally selected an option in that menu, and what do you think happened?

Thank you! A couple of posts ago I found myself using a word I've hardly ever used, and decided that before posting, I should make sure it meant what I thought it meant. But, of course, without the right-click menu, I didn't have direct access to Dictionary...

Thanks, I have to use "Control Right Click" to bring up the suggestions!

It is annoying to have the Browser/forum interface change on you all the time (excluding IE11 issues).

Are you having trouble on Mac? Everything seems to be fine for me! FWIW - I am running Safari on OSX 10.9.

I hope this is fixed soon. It is quite a pain to have to do it manually.

What's really annoying is more and more and more bugs being introduced, and no one showing any interest in doing anything about them. By now, I must have half a dozen or more bugs to fight with and work around every time I try to post something more complicated than a single sentence. I guess it's because I'm still on 10.6.

While some may question your comparison of the Equus africanus asinus with your greater gluteals (and the coarseness of the language in some cultures), I don't think anyone would disagree with the sentiment. Although I've adapted to the new paradigm, I sincerely hope they revisit this change. Very soon.

While I will agree that my language could be consider coarse by some. For those individuals, I would not recommend for them to read scripture in its original languages (where men are referred to as those who piss against the wall) or read the writings of Martin Luther.

The Firefox spellchecker should be available in the forums again now.
